Cookie Policy

The types of cookies we use and how you decide which ones to accept.

This is a translation. If it differs from the Spanish version, the Spanish version prevails.

01 What they are

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We also use similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage. In this policy we call all of them «cookies».

02 Your choices

The first time you visit niceplace.app we ask which cookies you accept: all of them, only the necessary ones, or a custom setup. Rejecting is as easy as accepting. You can change your choice from the «Privacy and cookies» button in the footer.

On the platform (the creator dashboard and the campus) we only use necessary and preference cookies, so we don't ask for consent there.

03 Types of cookies we use

NecessaryThey keep you signed in, protect your account and forms, and remember your cookie choice. The site doesn't work without them, so they can't be turned off.
PreferencesThey remember your language, light or dark theme and how you signed in last time, so you don't have to choose again.
AnalyticsOnly on niceplace.app and only if you accept them. They help us understand, in aggregate, which parts of the site are useful and which are not.
MarketingWe don't use any today. If we ever do, we will ask your permission first.

Without your consent we only count visits in aggregate, with no cookies and without identifying you.

04 How long they last

Some cookies last minutes and renew while you use the site; others are kept for 13 months at most. Your cookie choice lasts 12 months, after which we ask again.

05 Cookies may change

For security, and because the product changes, we don't publish a list of every cookie. The ones we use will always fall into one of the categories above. Before using a cookie that isn't necessary, we will ask for your consent.

06 Creators' sites

Creators' sites on Niceplace use the same necessary and preference cookies. If you are a creator and add your own tools to your site, such as an advertising pixel, you are responsible for disclosing it and asking your visitors for consent.
