Data deletion and account closure
The steps to delete your data from Niceplace, including data that comes from Meta and Instagram.
This is a translation. If it differs from the Spanish version, the Spanish version prevails.
01 Asking us to delete your data
Write to [email protected] from the email linked to your account with the subject «Data deletion». Tell us what you want deleted: a specific piece of data, what was imported from a service, or your whole account. Don't send us passwords or tokens.
If you are a creator's student, write to them first, because they control your data. If you write to us, we will pass your request on to them.
02 Closing your creator account
- Before: download what you want to keep. Your files from the Drive and your contacts from the CRM.
- Closure: your site, campus and dashboard stop being available. Your students see a notice that the site is closed. While the account is closed you can ask to reopen it.
- Deletion: once you confirm, we delete your whole space: student data, courses, files, payment connections and everything else. We email you when it is done.
03 Meta and Instagram
Disconnecting Instagram from Niceplace revokes our access and deletes the stored credentials. You can also remove Niceplace from the «Apps and websites» section of your Facebook account.
Disconnecting does not delete content already imported, such as posts, captions, images and videos. To delete it, ask by email with the username or profile URL.
04 Verification
We check that the request comes from the account holder or someone with authority over it. We may ask for one more detail to prevent unauthorized deletions. We confirm by email the receipt, the scope and the result.
05 Deadlines and what we keep
We handle valid requests without delay and within one month at most. Complex cases may take longer, and we will tell you.
- Encrypted backups delete themselves: daily ones in 35 days and monthly ones in 400. We only restore them to recover the service after a disaster.
- We keep invoices and accounting records for the period the law requires.
- We may keep the minimum needed to prevent fraud or defend ourselves against a claim.
